Ruth Anderson
Ruth Anderson is an Education Researcher and co-founder of FACET Innovations. With a background in foreign languages, linguistics and literature (Spanish, Italian, French, EFL), she spent fifteen years teaching and working with diverse populations of students (K-20) in the U.S., Europe and South America. During that time, she also worked in curriculum development, professional development and program evaluation.
Before coming to FI, Ruth worked at Talaria Inc where she served as PI on several projects to develop, pilot and evaluate online educational tools for adult learners. At FACET Innovations she currently works on research and evaluation projects, but also maintains a strong interest in materials development. Her enduring research interests include effective adult learning environments and literacy support for secondary science learners (L2 learner and native speakers) in mainstream classrooms.
Ruth received her BA in Spanish and French and a Masters in Spanish Literature from Michigan State, and she received a PhD in Pan-Romance Languages and aliterature from the University of Washington.
